shit i love sunday #2

Hello and welcome back to another edition of #ShitILoveSunday!

It’s a lovely day in the world because the crazy, weird month they call “January” is over! I’ve been learning over the last few years that January is just a transitional month to detox before the new year really gets rolling. At least that’s what I tell myself hahaha. Anyway…here’s what I’m loving this week –

*Maggie Rogers, Heard It In A Past Life – I’ve been hearing about this girl for thee longest time but I had never actually sat down and listened to her music. Oh boy, was I surprised in the best way. She has such a lovely, haunting voice and her songs are incredibly beautiful and easy to listen to. This album had me hooked right off the bat, which, I like. Music isn’t supposed to be serious as a listener so if I have to work at getting through an album, it’s a no from me. Luckily, this album is quite the opposite. “Light On” and “Back In My Body” are the jams I keep coming back to the most.

*Hollyweird Paranormal Podcast – love a haunted/true crime/weird podcast! I don’t even remember how I found these two but I am oh so glad I did. Tammie and Brice work in Hollywood and have all sorts of insights to the history of the industry. They discuss some famous people/places/movies/events that have taken place in Hollywood or are related to the area. After sharing the history of the topic, they discuss the paranormal aftermath as in current day hauntings and weird things that continue to happen! I’m personally obsessed with how weird/creepy/ominous Hollywood is and this podcast helps me fill that curiosity. Here are some of my favorite episodes (so far!) –

Episode 1: The True Crime and Paranormal Aftermath of The Sharon Tate & Manson Family Murders

Episode 2: The True Crime and Paranormal Aftermath of The Cecil Hotel

Episode 4: Famous Haunted Hollywood Apartments

Episode 6: The True Crime & Paranormal Aftermath of the Los Feliz Murder House

Episode 8: The Casting Curse of Marilyn Monroe, Clark Gable & Montgomery Clift

Episodes 11 & 12: Marilyn Monroe The True Crime & Paranormal Aftermath of Hollywood’s Lady of Sorrow

Episode 13: The True Crime & Paranormal Aftermath of The Wonderland Murders

Episode 26: The Oman House with David Oman (David Oman lives down the road from where Sharon Tate was murdered)

*The Daily Tay – Taylor is a hilarious blogger that I have been following for a while. Lately, I’ve been reading her blog first thing at work before even checking my email (sorry not sorry). She has the best way of looking at life and she has an amazing sense of humor! Check her out at: https://www.thedailytay.com/.

*Unicorn Slippers – I can’t take the credit for finding these babies, that all goes to Girl With No Job, but I love them. They are cozy and fun and comfy and cute. That’s really all, I mean, how many people can write a full paragraph about home footwear??? This is the link if you care: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06VYCKJNR/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00__o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

*The New England Patriots (you knew this was coming) – Tom Brady became a Patriot on the exact day, in the exact same year that my little brother was born. So yeah, this has been a thing for a while. I love the winning attitude and determination of the Patriots. I love that they never give up and I love everything they’ve done for one of my favorite cities. Say what you want about the Patriots and if it’s mean I won’t listen because it’s Super Bowl Sunday. Sports are great, I love them.

Happy Sunday! : ] GO PATS!
